Based in the thinking of the genius technologist; he state that, among other things, politics and politicians are obsolete entities and they are operating under an obsolete logic, thus, causing more damage than good in the world and  the people in it./ Muy interesante artículo de Steven Sieden (Un fanático de Buckminster Fuller como nosotros). It remaind me a lot to Hassan Fathy and his unfinished solution to rural housing. Im convinced that with contemporary technology we could finally achieve this, once, utopias /En este interesante artículo, se reflexiona sobre cual es el rol que debería cumplir el arquitecto en la sociedad tal como está, seguido de un ejemplo. Me recuerda al trabajo de Hassan Fathy y su inacabada solución a la escaces de vivienda rural.  Estoy convencido que con la actual tecnología podemos actualmente cumplir estas, otrora, utopías.

FUTURE: Printing a house/ Imprimiendo una casa.

On this awesome video by YANKO DESIGN, you can see a prototype of a house printing machine. Probably someday in the future we´ll use this kinds of devices to fast production of housing. But, can´t avoid to think this kind of proposals as “too advanced”, basically cause the´re thought under this age logic, and dont consider that technology and society are dynamic. For example, in the video they state that “…people will want to live in mega-cities, cause they promess a better life and wealth…” what about comunication technology, wont they change the working and wealth logic?. I think probably people, as gets more informed, will want to live on small and more humanized towns. VIDEO: Alvin Toffler: “Revolutionary wealth”

Esta es una entrevista hecha al afamado futurista, en la televisión estadounidense, donde habla de su último libro “Revolutionary wealth”, así como también de sus mas importantes idéas sobre el hombre, la sociedad, la tecnología, educación, etc. En revolutionary wealth Toffler analiza el momento que vive la sociedad, en su paso de la segunda a la tercera ola, y que se requiere para reacondicionar nuestros sistemas a este nuevo mundo.

Toffler es el autor de importantes libros como: El shock del Futuro, y The third wave, es uno de los futuristas mas respetados del mundo, y en mi opinión uno de los teóricos que mas claramente comprende hacia donde se dirige el mundo en la actualidad.
